After near one month living in this flat, the landowner hasn't given us some of the things that I promise. We're waiting for a kitchen TV, (proper&legal) internet connexion, armchairs, weekly cleaning, and more than 100 pounds spent in common stuff like bulbs and bathroom and kitchen necessary stuff.
Tired of waiting I thought maybe listening to the TV while I'm in front of my computer will help me to improve my english and I went downstairs. Downstairs is my british flatmate. He has two TV's and one of them is not used. I ask him to borrow it and he agreed. Now I'm watching TV, concretely I was watching a program that is broadcasted also in Spain. There is driven by Jesús Vázquez, and it's about choosing boxes.
In this edition of the show, at the end, the contestant was prompted to choose between two boxes. One of them was 5 pounds (7,5 euros) and the other one 10,000 pounds (15.000 euros). When she decided to choose a box... the "banca" phoned her and offered 2,500 pounds (3,750 euros) if she gave up. She starting to think and finally said something like this:
"For me, life is about challenges. My life is built on challenges, one after another, and I'm here to play."
She chose the wrong box and got 5 pounds.
What do you think?
Sorry if I made some mistake ;-)
